Santa's Hat Pattern

Make 2 Triangle pieces with RED yarns.

Cast-on(CO) 50 stitches.
Row 1-4: Knit all stitches.
Row 5: Slip 1 stitch onto the right needle, knit next stitch, pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch (SKP). One decrease is made. continue knitting until you have 2 stitches remaining. Knit 2 stitches together(k2tog).
Row 6: purl all stitches*
Row 7: knit all stitches
Row 8: purl all stitches*

*You may substitute purl stitches with knit stitches if you don't know how to purl yet. This project only!

Row 9-12: Repeat rows 5-8.(this is the decreasing pattern)
Row 13-end: repeat the decreasing pattern until you have 4 stitches remaining.
Bind-off (BO).

White Band. Make 1 piece.
With white yarn, CO 10 stitches.
Row 1: knit all stitches
Row 2: knit all stitches(row 1 & 2 forms a pattern)
Row 3 - 100: repeat the pattern 49 times.
Bind-off (BO).

Sew all pieces together to form a santa's hat.

Make a pom-pom with white yarn and attach it on top of the triangle.
